Darlington have confirmed today (March 3rd) that they will close one of the stands at their Darlington Arena home as they attempt to cut costs.
The troubled League Two side, who fell into administration last week, have announced that the west stand at the 25,000-seater stadium will now be shut down.
The move could spark anger from fans who have an attachment to the stand - which houses season ticket holders - as they identify it with the old 'Tin Shed' at former ground Feethams.
Christine Balford, the Quakers' commercial director, said: "This is an attempt to improve the atmosphere at home games, whilst saving costs.
"All season ticket holders will be temporarily relocated and will be able to use the facilities of the south stand."
The club have also revealed that they are increasing the price of programmes on match days and reducing the number of complimentary tickets they offer at home fixtures.
Darlington, who have been deducted ten points after the administrators were called in, are preparing for tonight's home league clash with Notts County.
