Hearts managing director Campbell Ogilvie has confirmed today (February 16th) that the club will not be postponing their Scottish Premier League (SPL) clash with St Mirren by 24 hours.
The Buddies want the fixture - which is scheduled for this Saturday - to be pushed back as they are due to take on Motherwell in a Scottish Cup replay just 48 hours earlier.
However, Ogilvie revealed that Hearts are unable to help out as they have already sold huge numbers of tickets and hospitality packages for the match at Tynecastle.
He told the club's official website: "We sympathise with St Mirren, but have to place our season ticket holders and sponsors first.
"We are always keen to support fellow SPL member clubs, but there are also knock-on match day operational costs that Hearts would have had to incur by moving the game to Sunday."
Ogilvie added that he felt confident that St Mirren would "understand our position on the matter".
Tynecastle, which has a capacity of 17,420, was originally opened in 1886 and underwent a period of renovation between 1994 and 1997.
