The Football Association (FA) announced yesterday (January 6th) that it intends to slash ticket prices for England fixtures at Wembley for the rest of the current season.
The fervour surrounding the Three Lions has returned since boss Fabio Capello masterminded stunning away wins over Croatia in World Cup qualifying and Germany in a friendly.
A total of 8,000 fans travelled to Berlin for the 2-1 win over Joachim Low's side, but Soho Square officials are determined to give fans heading to Wembley some respite in the current financial climate.
Alex Horne, the FA's chief operating officer, said: "We want to make watching the national team as affordable as possible - particularly for families - during this difficult economic period."
Tickets for the friendly clash with Slovakia on March 28th have been cut to between £30 and £40, while the family enclosure has been expanded by 60 per cent, with tickets offered at £30 for adults and £15 for children.
Furthermore, tickets for the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on April 1st will be priced at between £29 and £58.50.
Members of the official supporters club, englandfans, will be able to get £5 discounts on adult tickets and £2.50 discounts on children's tickets if they book within a specific timeframe.
Capello's men triumphed 4-1 over Croatia in Zagreb, largely thanks to a hat-trick from Arsenal wonderkid Theo Walcott.
