Fans visit all 92 league grounds in 75 hours for charity

A kind-hearted Notts County fan has completed a remarkable whistlestop tour of every football league ground in England and Wales - while also raising money for charity in the process, the Nottingham Evening Post reports.

Stefan Jordan, from West Bridgford, set out with Spurs fan Dave Thomson, Coventry fan Hiten Karia and Blackburn fan Chris Prior with the intention of driving to and visiting all 92 grounds within 92 hours.

But having finished the journey in 72 hours and raised around £3,000 for a fund designed to buy a powered wheelchair for two-year-old family friend Grace Windram, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy earlier this year, the 37-year-old declared himself delighted.

He told the newspaper: "We are all big football fans and had always wanted to visit every ground.

"It has been great for us to be able to do it in one go and raise a lot of money."

The journey, which started and finished in Northampton, even saw Mr Jordan being well received at the City Ground - home of County's fierce rivals Nottingham Forest.

The team are now contemplating repeating the challenge next year by touring every ground in Spain, Mr Jordan revealed.

Notts County are officially recognised as the oldest remaining professional football club in the world, having been established in 1862.
