The turbulent Andy Webster story rumbles on in Scotland after it emerged that, almost eight years since the defender's transfer from Arbroath to Hearts, the Scottish Second Division club has not received money owed from the Jambos.
Webster's contract reportedly included a sell-on clause that meant Arbroath should have received a percentage of any fee received, but despite his contentious move to Wigan in 2006, the Edinburgh club have yet to pay the minnows the miserly sum of £17,000, according to the BBC.
"They are due us £14,437.50 plus VAT. We finally agreed an amount with Hearts that they were due us on August 1st and we sent them an invoice at that time, which still hasn't been paid," Arbroath secretary Gary Callon told BBC Scotland.
"A month ago we asked the SFA if they could assist us to claim this money.
"They advised us that they'd contacted Hearts, who had said payment had been authorised and was being processed, but to date we've received nothing."
Webster made history when he bought out his contract with Hearts despite having a year left to run.
What is now known as the 'Webster clause' allowed him to move to Wigan as they are based in a 'foreign' country in footballing terms.
Since then, the Scotland international has moved to Rangers but has been farmed out to Bristol City on loan after being dogged by injury.
