Fans of Bradford City have been given a huge boost after the club confirmed today (November 25th) that it is offering them the chance to snap a season ticket for under £100.
Anyone deciding to buy a season ticket for the 2009/10 season during December will be able to secure it at a price of £99 in the Bradford End and £138 elsewhere at Valley Parade, the BBC reports.
Joint-chairman Mark Lawn explained that manager Stuart McCall and the players are delighted about the move as a full house invariably serves to give them a massive lift.
He told the news provider: "We thought about what we can do to help the fans because there is a credit crunch. It's a genuine opportunity for people to buy something for partners, spouses, children at Christmas.
"We appreciate that Bradford is not the most affluent of places and if we can do something, and if we can do it at Christmas, then I think we should."
Bradford have been taking a proactive approach to ticket pricing for some time, with their idea of slashing prices in half for this season being copied by a host of other league clubs.
