Ishmel Demontagnac has been sacked by Walsall following his arrest over the weekend on suspicion of breach of the peace, it has been confirmed today (November 13th).
The 20-year-old winger was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning in Birmingham Road, Walsall, although he was later released without charge.
However, the club have decided to terminate his contract, citing a number of breaches of disciplinary rules - with his arrest and the red card he received after just eight minutes of Saturday's FA Cup clash with Scunthorpe appearing to be the final straws.
Saddlers boss Jimmy Mullen said: "He's a fantastic talent, there's no doubt about it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, what he's got in terms of his ability he should be playing in the Premier League.
"But obviously there's something within him, the person, that stops him from doing it. The club felt that enough is enough."
Demontagnac has been involved in a number of incidents during his stint at the Bescot and he was sent off twice during the 2005-06 season for violent conduct.
He scored three goals for Walsall this season, all in one home league fixture against Southend.
