Lincoln City have confirmed that they have lodged an official complaint after assistant manager Iffy Onuora and a number of players were allegedly subjected to racist abuse on Saturday (November 8th).
The Imps informed referee Simon Hooper of the reported taunts after their FA Cup clash with Kettering Town at Rockingham Road and he is expected to include it in his match report to the Football Association.
Boss Peter Jackson explained that he could not believe what he had heard and that he was furious that the alleged perpetrators were not pinpointed during the match and arrested.
He said: "How can that happen? He's probably in the pub by now, he's got away with it. How could a fellow stood ten yards behind me call my players monkeys and make monkey gestures? It's totally unacceptable."
Kettering have confirmed that they are launching their own investigations, explaining on their website that they have "a strong anti-racist stance and no such abuse will be tolerated".
The Rockingham Road stadium currently holds 6,170 supporters, with 1,800 of that total made up by seating sections.
