Uefa confirmed on Monday (November 3rd) that it is now accepting bids from parties interested in securing media rights for next year's European Under-21 Championships.
European football's governing body has announced that winning bidders in each region will receive exclusive television rights plus internet and mobile content for the tournament.
The sales process, which is being controlled by TEAM Marketing AG, will also see the rights for highlights and delayed matches from the 15-game showpiece up for grabs.
A Uefa statement read: "The Uefa European Under-21 Championship is now firmly established as one of the highlights of the international football calendar.
"The 2007 final tournament was watched by more than 75 million viewers in more than 150 countries. The growing success of the competition in recent years means that it delivers strong audience figures worldwide."
The 2009 competition, which takes place between June 15th and 19th in Sweden, will feature young stars from countries such as Germany, Italy, Serbia, Spain and England.
Italy have won the tournament on the most occasions (five), while England have won two trophies and the current champions are the Netherlands.
