XFMedia wins Europa League rights

Football Sponsors/ Sponsorship and Media

Leading Chinese media group XFMedia has won the free-to-air rights for the Uefa Europa League for the next three years, it has been confirmed.

The deal will see the company broadcast at least one live match, a delayed match and a highlights programme from next season in the newly-rebranded Uefa Cup competition.

Furthermore, XFMedia will be able to show every single match during the tournament on the internet, while also providing action on mobile phones through its service provider M-in.

A statement from Uefa, European football's governing body, said: "XFMedia is a new partner of UEFA and we are excited at the prospect of developing our relationship over the coming seasons.

"This agreement will deliver extensive coverage for the new UEFA Europa League in the world's most populous nation. We are confident that XFMedia will do a great job in delivering the new competition to football fans in China."

XLMedia managed to broker a deal in February to show the NFL Super Bowl in China through national satellite television channel NMTV.
