Soccerex announces plans for 2009 London Forum

Football Conferences and Exhibitions

Soccerex has confirmed today (October 2nd) that next year's London Forum will again take place at Wembley Stadium, with May 13th pencilled in as the scheduled date.

The forum has been running for four years and has now established itself as one of the key events in the football business calendar, highly valued for its networking opportunities.

This year's event saw around 800 senior delegates from 50 countries - including sponsors, governing bodies, federations, leagues and senior club executives - descend on Wembley for the day.

Some of the leading industry figures to have addressed those in attendance include David Gill (Manchester United), Richard Scudamore (Premier League), Peter Kenyon (Chelsea) and Gerard Houllier (French Football Federation).

Kenyon, who is CEO at the Stamford Bridge club, said: "I think that Soccerex has built up one of the industry's leading networking forums."

Other senior officials have also endorsed the forum's ability to bring people for all different departments of the game together.

Tom Bender, chief marketing officer for the Bundesliga, added: "It's a great place to meet senior industry executives - in just ten minutes I am running out of business cards!"
