The company in charge of running Scottish Premier League side Falkirk's stadium has dismissed reports that it has gone bust.
A local newspaper reported that Falkirk Community Stadium Ltd (FCSL) has gone into liquidation as the result of ongoing financial difficulties.
However, the company has reacted angrily to the suggestions and has claimed that it will be taking legal action.
FCSL chief executive Peter Eadie said: "The message is very clear - it is business as usual at the Falkirk Stadium.
"The erroneous report has caused undue concern to many people including staff, customers, suppliers and football supporters, right down to parents of children who use the nursery facilities within the stadium complex.."
Mr Eadie also explained that the company is having discussions with its shareholders about how it will finalise building at the stadium, which is only half complete at present.
The stadium project - which is run by Falkirk Council and the club itself under the FCSL name - has drawn criticism from Falkirk fans for a succession of delays.
