Football Sponsors/ Sponsorship and Media
German second division side FC Augsburg have announced an upgraded sponsorship deal with PC-controlled industrial robot supplier KUKA AG.
The company, which is based in Augsburg, will now advertise on television perimeter hoardings, the partner boards and the club's website as part of the deal.
Furthermore, the partnership will see the advent of 'KUKA Day', where all the company's employees will be handed tickets to a home game.
Commenting on the news, the club's managing director Andreas Rettig said: "It's wonderful that another top global company based in Augsburg has committed to FCA.
"If we handle the season with as much creativity and aplomb as KUKA brings to its field, we have every hope of making our targets together."
Gerhard Wiedemann, CEO of KUKA, explained that the company has strong roots in the Augsburg region as more than 2,500 of its employees currently live there.
He added: "Both FCA and KUKA are, each in their own way, popular figures that feel like family and are especially close to fans, partners, customers and residents in the region.
"Both partners have strong brands and ambitious goals, coupled with excellent future prospects."
