England fans will now be able to watch highlights of World Cup qualifying away fixtures on ITV, it has been reported.
There was a major storm earlier in the month as Irish broadcaster Setanta attempted to agree a deal with terrestrial companies over the rights to the highlights of clash with Croatia.
However, a solution could not be thrashed out and the stunning 4-1 victory was watched by just 1.55 million viewers on Setanta, which is showing all England's away qualifiers live.
In addition, only a paltry 290,000 viewers were able to see the highlights on Setanta - a situation which enraged culture secretary Andy Burnham and FA chairman Lord Triesman, among others.
However, a compromise has been agreed with ITV and fans will be able to see next month's clash with Belarus - and games in June and October next year - for free.
The viewing figures for the recent Croatia game compares to a figure of 11 million for the previous, fateful meeting with Slaven Bilic's men at Wembley last November.
