A campaign in Scotland has been launched to find out football's funniest joke.
Supporters are being urged to submit their funniest gags by Waddington's Number 1.
The cardmakers will give the best joke a £500 cheque as well as a trophy in the contest that is aimed at drumming up support ahead of the new season.
Some of the jokes, which were reported in the Glasgow Daily Record, showed the humorous banter of Scottish football fans.
David Walker, a 31-year-old Rangers fan from Glasgow, sent his in: "Gordon Strachan went to Celtic's Halloween party as a pumpkin. But midnight came and went and he still hadn't turned into a coach."
Jokes have been sent in by fans across the country and Waddington's Graham Barnes said that football fans were well known for creating ways of winding up their rivals.
"Now we want to find the best football joke. We've already had some crackers," he explained.
