The National Association of Disabled Supporters (NADS) has welcomed new research from the Liberal Democrats relating to the treatment of disabled fans at Premier League grounds.
David Bernstein, president of (NADS), backed the research from the Liberal Democrats and said that he had written to Premier League chairmen, asking them to review the treatment of disabled fans.
The Liberal Democrat research claimed that 18 out of 20 Premier League teams were not following the recommended government guidelines about supplying space for disabled football fans.
Don Foster, the party's spokesperson for culture, media and sport, branded the treatment of disabled fans as "shameless" and Mr Bernstein said he was pleased the issue was being highlighted.
"We are working with the football family and politicians to find good solutions and recognise the progress that has been made for disabled supporters. We continue to encourage equal access to stadia for all disabled fans.
"The Lib Dem report demonstrates just how much still needs to be done," he said.
