Newcastle United fans got the chance to see Kevin Keegan's team in training this week when the club put on a free training session inside St James's Park.
It was a chance for some of the fans to see new signings in action and run their eye over last season's performers.
About 12,000 parents and children attended the event which saw the team practice shooting, passing, pace and stamina, as well as a mini match.
Six winners also received a football signed by Mr Keegan himself as former Magpie John Beresford was on hand to keep the crowd going.
Speaking to the Newcastle Chronicle, he said that it was a good way to let kids watch football without having to pay expensive matchday ticket prices.
"I think that really shows what the team's about, that the players will put this on for the fans at what is such a crucial time," he explained.
