Football Conferences and Exhibitions | Football Leagues/ Association and Governance
The Scottish Amateur Football Association (SAFA) is attempting to put together an exhibition of photographs depicting amateur football to celebrate its centenary year.
Travelling around Scotland, the exhibition hopes to give a glimpse of over 100 years of amateur football in the country.
Stories about clubs, teams or individuals are welcome and those with a contribution are urged to contact the organisation.
The SAFA has already received one story on a football team from the time of World War One.
An amateur side all signed up for the army together and only one of the players survived the war but went on to reform the club, which is still in existence today.
The information could be compiled into an online library as well as the exhibition.
Anyone wishing to contribute should contact Euan Cameron from the organisation on 0141-533 1203.
The SAFA was founded in 1909 to legislate and foster the game of football for amateurs.
Comprising of members from all over Scotland, original members included Queen's Park FC, Glasgow & District FP League and the Schools Association.
