The Football League has launched a new programme aimed at encouraging more families to take part in the life of their local football clubs.
It is aiming to allow fans to enjoy a local game in a family-friendly environment and will see stewarded family areas display signs that discourage the use of anti-social behaviour.
'Enjoy the Match' has already been backed by managers and playing staff who will sign a board that will be displayed in the family area of grounds.
Clubs will also be required to play a public address to the stadium which encourages positive support throughout the game.
According to reports from the BBC, this will be delivered by local children.
Lord Mawhinney, chairman of the Football League, said that it was an important initiative that would encourage increasing numbers of young children to support their local teams.
"It is therefore vitally important that we encourage more parents to bring their children into our grounds by creating a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere at all matches," he added.
