Everton fans who are against the club's proposed move to a new stadium in Kirkby have reportedly called on a parliamentary body to investigate Peter Kilfoyle, the MP for Walton.
Mr Walton backed the controversial move to the stadium that would see the Toffees move outside the borders of Liverpool.
His support angered the Keep Everton in Our City (Keioc) group who want their local MP to take on their views.
They also claimed that he had, at one stage, enjoyed corporate hospitality - a claim he denies.
As a result, the group said they would contact the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards for clarification over the matter.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the group have also asked Mr Kilfoyle to clarify his own position.
But he claims that he is a victim of "smear tactics" and said he has not done anything improper.
"I do not represent Everton Football Club, I do not represent Tesco, I do not even represent the football fans... I represent the entire constituency," he told the newspaper.
