A new exhibition will capture the ups and down of supporting Liverpool's two biggest teams.

According to reports in the Liverpool Echo, a photographer has captured some of the scenes from last season at Liverpool and Everton.

The two clubs are fierce rivals on the pitch, but Tabitha Jussa has turned to the stands to capture images of the season.

'The 12th Man' gives an insight into the experience of being a Liverpool or Everton fan and a wide range of subjects have been snapped, including children and stewards.

On display at the Central Library in the city, Ms Jussa told the newspaper that Liverpool was well known for its passion and she hoped the exhibition would give an insight into the lives of fans.

"The 12th Man aims to show the spiritual beliefs, hopes, loyalties and unmovable support that comes from the 12th men and women of each team," she explained.

In addition, a new exhibition at the city's World Museum will explore the history of the football, from the classic era to the modern game.
