Shrewsbury Town have announced that their new ground will be called The Prostar Stadium after agreeing a four-year contract with the kit manufacturers.
The stadium was unnamed for a year but will use its new name from the beginning of the season after the club opted to choose the route of sponsorship.
Speaking to BBC Radio Shropshire, managing director Rob Bickerton said the deal had to be "commercially right".
"Some fans might've preferred The New Meadow. But the balance is it's a good name tied to a significant cash deal," he explained.
He explained that the club were living within their means and work was being done to attract new investment to the club.
According to Mr Bickerton, agents demanded excessive fees when dealing with Shrewsbury because they considered the club to be rich.
The club also revealed that the stadium had made dramatic strides in the hospitality, conference and banqueting sector.
