Uefa has announced that the revenue gained from Euro 2008 will be a record breaker.
The European football body has revealed that the figure of 1.3 billion will surpass the revenue created by Portugal's Euro 2004 by 50 per cent.
Despite the record figures, 450 million will be split between the 53 Uefa associations across Europe.
The figure is mainly made up of revenue made from television contracts and sponsorship, which has been tightly watched this year.
In an attempt to keep sponsorship exclusive, Uefa has ordered non-official sponsors to refrain from handing out free goods to fans during the Euro 2008 championships.
The move was made due to Uefa's fears that fans would take branded goods such as tshirts and hats into the stadium, and effectively create free advertising for the companies that gave them out.
Uefa has also demanded that Britain remove Euro 2008 from its list of essential sporting games, as at present the government reserves the right to show all European championship games free in the UK, and Uefa would like to see more competitive contracts from the UK.
