Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore has expressed confidence that ticket allocations for the all-English Champions League final will go smoothly.
Mr Scudamore was adamant that there would be no attempts made by the Premier League to move the Chelsea-Manchester United final nearer England.
He pointed out that it is Uefa's competition and that host cities have to bid for the events.
The chairman asked fans to "imagine if a Champions League final, or a major event, was scheduled to take place at Wembley and two Italian teams or Spanish teams got through".
"There are going to be stories to tell grandchildren about how you got there, and how it all happened - it is going to be fantastic," he predicted.
Mr Scudamore also expressed delight that there was guaranteed to be an English Champions League winner as "we can't even say that about the FA Cup".
The capacity of the Luzhniki Stadium - where England lost to Russia in October - will be 69,500 for the final.
