Aston Villa have defended their decision to increase match day and season ticket prices for next season.
The club has announced that season tickets will rise in price from £475 to £510, an increase of £35.
Match day tickets will also rise from £35 to £39 an increase of £4.
The increased prices have led to criticism from some quarters but Villa claims that it will still be one the cheapest teams to watch in the Premier League.
"For next season we continue to be among the cheapest in the Premier League. Our most expensive adult season ticket is under £27 per game," Nicola Keye, head of consumer sales at the club, told BBC WM.
Young fans will not get money off their tickets if they buy them for the Trinity Road or Doug Ellis Stands but Villa said this is not aimed at penalising youngsters.
"If there are juniors that want to sit centrally in stands, they can do that at the two ends of the stadium for less than £200. If they want to sit centrally on the sides and don't have an existing season ticket then that will cost £510," said Ms Keye.
"But I have to say there are very few seats available in those areas and 99 per cent are already occupied," she added.
