Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the list of nominations for the Professional Footballers' Association players' player of the year award.
The Manchester United winger, who has netted 37 goals so far this year, won the award in 2007 and is favourite to win it again despite strong competition from Cesc Fabregas, Emmanuel Adebayor and Fernando Torres.
England stars Steven Garrard and David James have also been nominated for the prize.
Fabregas, Ronaldo and Torres could also win the PFA young player of the year award along with Gabriel Agbonlahor, Ashley Young and Micah Richards.
Ronaldo, who is also being tipped for the Fifa world player of the year award, could end up with both PFA trophies as well as the Premier League and the Champions League.
Last year, the Portuguese international was beaten to the Fifa world player of the year award by Kaka and came third behind Lionel Messi.
