Eleven people were arrested following violent clashes between football fans in Kettering, Northamptonshire on Saturday (April 5th).
Fighting between supporters of Kettering Town and Telford United broke out before and after the two sides met in the Blue Square North League.
Officers arrested 11 people in total, with all being released on bail until June.
Police expect to make more arrests once CCTV footage of the violence has been analysed.
Speaking to the BBC, detective inspector Andy Nichols said that the investigation is ongoing.
"We are carrying out a significant investigation and are confident that we can bring these offenders to justice," he commented.
"I am appealing for witnesses to the incidents to come forward - this was unacceptable behaviour on the part of a minority of so-called football fans," continued Mr Nichols.
Kettering Town won the match 3-0, with Anthony Robinson scoring twice and David Bridges sealing the win late on.
