West Brom start hunt for new shirt sponsor

West Bromwich Albion are searching for a new shirt sponsor following the decision of T-Mobile to reduce its presence within the club.

After four years as shirt sponsors, the mobile network operator is to limit its role to that of one of the club's commercial partners.

Discussions are already underway with potential new sponsors, and the Baggies are in a strong position given that they currently lie fourth in the Championship table with two games in hand over league leaders Bristol City and are also through to the FA Cup semi-finals.

"Given the team's performance in the league and FA Cup this season, becoming West Bromwich Albion’s main club sponsor is a fantastic platform for any brand on a national and international level," commented West Brom's sales and marketing director Tim Gardiner.

"We have demonstrated our ability to deliver great value for our partners - including T-Mobile, Carlsberg and JD Sports - and we feel this is a great opportunity for a new organisation to benefit from a relationship with a club that has great ambitions on and off the field."

West Brom will play Portsmouth at Wembley on Saturday, April 5th in the first of the two FA Cup semi-finals.

The other, between Barnsley and Cardiff, will take place on the Sunday and will also be held at Wembley.
