Redknapp prepared to help Bournemouth

Harry Redknapp has vowed that he will do all he can to save former club Bournemouth.

The Portsmouth manager spent nine years at the club and believes that he may be able to help out.

Bournemouth are currently in administration and have debts of around £4 million but Redknapp, who still lives in the town, is not prepared to sit back and watch the club disappear.

"I know some people there with money who I'm sure would be interested in taking it on," he revealed.

"It's a great little club, which means a lot to me. I have always said I would do what I could for Bournemouth and there's no way I'll see them go out of business."

Redknapp has even pledged to put his money where his mouth is should it come to that.

"If a consortium was put together and wanted me to be an investor, I would do it, yes," he continued.

"I don't know how that would sit with League rules. I could put my son in, couldn't I?"

Bournemouth currently sit second from bottom in League One.
