A friendly match between England and Scotland in the summer has been ruled out by new Scotland coach George Burley.
The former Southampton manager is reported to want to wait until he has his strongest squad at his disposal, reports the BBC.
A clash had been provisionally pencilled in for May but Celtic and Rangers players may not be available then due to club trips.
It is believed that a match between the Auld Enemy will be rescheduled and is still set to go ahead at some point.
Meanwhile, one of Burley's backroom staff, former England captain Terry Butcher, has revealed that he would want to see Scotland beat England should the two meet.
He is currently working alongside 51-year-old Burley ahead of a Scotland training camp in February, which will offer the coach his first opportunity to meet his squad.
Burley's first match in charge of his country will come in March when Scotland entertain Croatia at Hampden Park.
