The architects assigned the job of building Liverpool's new stadium have been named.
HKS, a Dallas-based firm will be given the task of building the new Stanley Park stadium, which will cost around £300 million.
The new ground will be capable of holding 71,000 fans and should be completed by 2011.
It means that Liverpool will break with over 115 years of history by leaving the iconic Anfield but some parts of the past will be incorporated into the new stadium.
Stanley Park will come complete with a new Kop, which will be capable of holding 18,500 5,000 more than the current stand.
Commenting on the appointment of HKS, American co-owner George Hicks said that fans can expect a great stadium.
"HKS has developed a more efficient design that, at the same time, is just as stunning as its original design," he commented.
"Liverpool supporters should have high expectations for the future: a premier sporting experience at their new stadium at Stanley Park and a winning club on the pitch for years to come," continued Mr Hicks.
