Arsenal strikers Emmanual Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner are to escape punishment from the Football Association following an on-field clash.
The pair appeared to come to blows during the 5-1 Carling Cup semi-final defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on January 22nd.
Bendtner seemed to suffer a cut to his nose as a result of the fracas, which was eventually ended when the forwards were separated by team mates and referee Howard Webb.
Mr Webb did not see the entire incident and the FA asked for video evidence of the clash to see if any further action was needed.
However, the governing body has released a statement in which it revealed that neither player would be punished for their actions.
"The FA will not take any formal disciplinary action against Emmanual Adebayor over the incident involving Arsenal team-mate Nicklas Bendtner during the Carling Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham but will write to both players to remind them of their responsibilities," it read.
Adebayor has since apologised for the spat, telling the Arsenal website that he was "sorry" and that the incident had been a "mistake".
