Football Fans Census Research Grants

FFC has a proud tradition of working with students and academia and now makes available 5 research grants per annum for students at University or other institutions of higher and further education wishing to undertake football research projects as part of their studies.

The aim of FFC Research Grants is to provide research support for innovative and original football related academic research projects of high quality and potential.

Each grant allows students to ask up to 10 quantitative questions to FFC members, with the data provided back in raw format for analysis.

Information required

Please explain why you believe The FFC should support your research proposal and include:

  • Full contact details of applicant and Course and Institution Details
  • A brief description of the proposed research, which should include the background to project and research objectives
  • The names and contact details of two referees (one of whom must be a course academic at your institution of study)

Eligibility 

Eligible applicants are students at universities, other institutions of higher and further education.

Important

There are no closing dates for the submission of an Application but there will typically be a period of up to 12 weeks between receiving an your application and receiving notice of a decision.

Please note that this indicates the estimated timescale for the assessment of Applications, and it is not possible for FFC to guarantee a response within this period, although every effort will be made to do so. There may however be occasions when a longer period is required.
